Volunteer Role Descriptions

SERVING COMMITMENT FOR ALL ROLES (EXCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHER): At least one week a month during both services on Sunday (about 6 hours).

AUDIO ENGINEER—Tell the story of what’s happening on stage in an artful, technically excellent way. Setting gains and mixing sources for the live experience.
CAMERA OPERATOR—Support the video director’s storytelling by suggesting appropriate shots, taking shot direction, and moving in an artful, deliberate way.
GRAPHICS OPERATOR—Support song and message by displaying graphics, lyrics, texts on the screens in a timely fashion.
LIGHTING OPERATOR—Light the room using color, texture, and movement to clearly support the message and music. Illuminate and focus to tell the story of what’s happening on stage in an artful, technically excellent way.
STAGE MANAGER—Facilitate the smooth movement of people and their supporting objects on and off the stage. Be the hands-on problem solver for audio and video issues that may arise during the service.
VIDEO DIRECTOR—Lead the video team to tell the story through a creative video experience of “right now.” Present video in such a way that the message is clear and our method is not distracting.
PHOTOGRAPHER—Capture all the excitement going around at Center Pointe through photography. Serving Commitment: Flexible. Sundays, special events, or both!
