Volunteer Role Descriptions

  • CHECK-IN HOST—Greet and welcome students as they arrive, collect information on new students during the check-in process, and help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Commitment: 20 minutes before and 10 minutes after service begins. 
  • STUDENT MINISTRY COACH—Support and encourage small group leaders through intentional relationships. Assist ministry leadership in supporting small group leaders and students. Membership is required for this role. Commitment: 2-3 hours on Sunday evenings and various times throughout the week. 
  • SMALL GROUP LEADER—Forge meaningful relationships with students during scheduled church activities while facilitating lessons, discussing life issues, and strengthening those relationships by partnering with parents and showing up unexpectedly in their lives. Membership is required for this role. 
  • WORSHIP TEAM (INSTRUMENTS & VOCALS)—Know how to effectively perform the songs to lead students in a time of worship to God with excellence and humility. Commitment: 1-2 hours for midweek practice, 1 hour sound check before the service, and then leading worship. 
  • TECH TEAM—Manage sound, lights, and video to create an engaging experience. Commitment: One Sunday a month for service and sound check with the band (approximately 3-4 hours). 
  • EVENTS PLANNING ASSISTANT—Help plan and execute events (prep, shopping, etc.). Commitment: Varies throughout the year based on events. 
  • GENERAL VOLUNTEER—Want to serve but not sure where you fit? We always need help with carrying out events and creating a fun atmosphere on Sundays. Commitment: 1-2 hours per week.
