Volunteer Role Descriptions

All volunteers commit to serving for one year (August-August).

CHECK-IN HOST – Greet, check in, and escort children and families through our environment. Commitment: Serve weekly for one service.
NURSERY LEADER – Build positive memories about God and His church for our youngest attendees and their families. Commitment: Serve one service per week every other month.
RALLY ROOM HOST – Create a fun and engaging environment for children staying for two services. Commitment: Serve one service per week every other month.
INTAKE HOST - Welcome children to CP Kids in our Rally Rooms before the service begins. Commitment: Serve 30 minutes per service per week every other month.
SMALL GROUP LEADER – Invest in a small group of children through preplanned activities to influence their faith in Jesus and deepen their relationships with others. Commitment: Serve weekly for one service.
LARGE GROUP LEADER – Communicate Bible lessons to all the small groups from a raised platform to inspire, motivate, and provide meaningful content for children. Membership is required for this role. Commitment: Serving will vary based on the team or individual.
WORSHIP LEADER – Lead children in songs with energy and enthusiasm to create a sense of wonder for God. Commitment: Serving will vary based on the team or individual.
TECH TEAM – Manage sound, lighting, and video to create an engaging large group experience. Commitment: Serving will vary based on the team or individual.
SET & PREP TEAM – Work with CP Staff to either prepare stage sets and/or lesson materials needed for Sunday lessons. Commitment: Serve 5+ hours per month during the week.
EVENT TEAM – Work with staff to set up for special CP Kids milestone and other events (e.g., Footprints Class, Trunk or Treat, Baby Celebration, etc.). Commitment: Varies; as needed throughout the year.
